STORY: Prassthanam is director Deva Katta’s adaptation of his 2010 Telugu directorial with the same name. The story revolves around MLA Baldev Pratap Singh (Sanjay S Dutt) and the complex relationships within his family in a highly volatile political setup. Together, can they defeat their enemies or perish within their own battles?

And one of the most influential leaders here is Ballipur’s Baldev Singh. He is aided by his morally upright and charismatic half-son Aayush (Ali Fazal). He is the heir apparent, much to the chagrin of his younger step-brother Vivaan (Satyajeet Dubey), who is a rich spoilt kid and a rabble-rouser with a violent streak. All these men are bound by one woman, Saroj (Manisha Koirala), Baldev’s wife. The complex family dynamic forms the crux of the story, which also draws inspiration from our epic tales Ramayana and Mahabharata.
